PaCIVICa is proud to present insights from the Henderson-Massey Meet the Candidates evening on 29 August, 2025.
We chose Māori and Pacific candidates to be on our panel because their voices are often lost in the mainstream. For this specifically Pacific event, we also got the candidates on camera to talk about how their cultural identity and values informs their civic leadership, and how those values drive their sense of purpose.
The candidates are:
Brooke Loader (Ngapuhi)
Repeka George-Koteka (Cook Islands)
Oscar Kightley (Samoa)
Vincent Naidu (Fiji)
Leao Tildsley (Samoa)
Will Flavell (Ngapuhi, Ngati Whatua)
We are grateful for the cooperation of the candidates, and the support from Le Moana West Collective and our special guest interviewer Janice Anderson. A big shout out also to Tapasā and TASI for their help setting up and engaging our amazing West Auckland Pacific community.
PaCIVICa is apolitical and does not endorse any party or individual. The views shared here are to celebrate leaders putting their Pacific values into their life’s work. To find out more, please visit www.pacivica.org.nz
