Context
Pacific Business Trust (PBT) supports Pacific entrepreneurs and organisations to strengthen business capability and long-term sustainability. Through this work, PEP has supported a range of small businesses, startups, and purpose-led organisations to strengthen strategy, clarify direction, and build confidence in their next stage of growth.
The Challenge
Many founders and community organisations operate with strong purpose but limited access to strategic support. Leaders are often balancing multiple responsibilities while trying to navigate unfamiliar areas such as business planning, revenue development, and organisational growth.
Without the right support at the right time, this can lead to uncertainty, stalled progress, or missed opportunities.
Our role
PEP works as a trusted capability partner supporting Pacific entrepreneurs and organisations through structured strategy support and practical capability development.
The work
PEP’s work typically focuses on:
-
Strategic clarity and defining next steps
-
Strengthening leadership confidence and decision-making
-
Supporting business model development and revenue pathways
-
Building practical digital capability where needed
Our approach focuses on building capability rather than dependency — helping leaders develop the confidence and tools to move forward independently.
Over the past five years PEP has supported around 50 Pacific businesses and organisations through PBT programmes, working across early-stage ventures, growing businesses, and established community organisations exploring new enterprise pathways.
Outcome
Leaders typically move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to having clear priorities, practical next steps, and greater confidence in their direction. Many organisations leave with stronger strategic foundations and improved readiness for future growth opportunities.
Why it matters
This work demonstrates PEP’s strength in combining cultural intelligence with strategic thinking — creating environments where leaders who might otherwise feel intimidated by traditional consulting approaches can engage confidently in capability development.
